I'm sorry, but I have a two-part request. First I've never had a dad, and I'm 22, but my mom married a wonderful man four years ago, and he's grown as my father and loves me as his own. Is there a good song about a loving stepfather? Second I have two sons, but when my first one was two months I got locked away for a year and a half and regret the lost time and not being the father I should've been and just now getting to a place of taking care of all their needs. Is there a song for this feeling of regret as a father?
For the first song suggestion, the song that popped into my head was, "He Didn't Have to Be" by Brad Paisley. That song is from a stepson to his stepdad, to honor how wonderful his stepfather was to him because he didn't have to be. In regards to a song for your sons about the father, you want to be, "Little Guy" by Gord Bamford is an ideal choice. You can find both songs on YouTube.
