October marks the perfect time to hit the pause button. September is usually busy because of all the preparations for welcoming another school year. November and December, meanwhile, remind you of the holidays—which could be as exciting and stressful at the same time.

The month of October sits nicely right in the middle of it all, giving you precious time to gather your thoughts, find your inner peace, and appreciate the magnificent beauty of life and nature. There’s nothing like taking a long stroll outside and embracing the exquisiteness of the fall foliage, with the leaves changing color as if to tell you that’s something more vibrant will soon take their place.

Of course, there’s Halloween to look forward to. For many people, there’s something inherently fun about thinking of a new costume each year. Halloween is the perfect excuse to dress up as your favorite superhero, a whacky ghost, or anything crazy you have in mind.
