I love to hear duets at weddings. There is just something so right about hearing a man and woman singing a love song in harmony. It is a musical mirror of the wedding itself, in a way. And there are so many amazing duets out there that are perfect for weddings! I have don't my best to narrow it down to my top 10 Favorite Wedding Duets.

1. "It's Your Love" by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw

Husband and wife country stars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw wrote this song, and it is incredibly romantic!

"It's your love, it just does something to me

It sends a shock right through me

I can't get enough, and if you wonder

About the spell I'm under, Ooh,... It's your love."

Some of the lyrics might not be exactly church wedding appropriate, but for a first dance or reception song, this is a top choice!

2. "The Prayer" by Charlotte Church and Josh Grobin

There are several really wonderful versions of this song. If you want to use this song during the prayer section in your ceremony, I would definitely recommend finding a pair of really strong singers (who can sing in Italian also!) to sing this live. However, for a first dance song, or if you just don't have the singers who are available to do it, there are a number of great recordings that you can use.

My personal favorite is the version with Charlotte Church and Josh Grobin. It has also been recorded by Celine Dion and Josh, as well as Celine Dion and Italian singer Andrea Bocelli.

3. "After All" by Peter Cetera and Cher

Peter Cetera and Cher. Remember this song? Oh, I just love it! This is the kind of song that really only works if you and your new husband or wife have been together for a while and gone through some rough times and maybe even breakups along the way. Through it all, though, you have just always ended up back in each other's arms, and you know that the two of you were just meant to be. If that's you, this is your song!

"After all the stops and starts,

We keep coming back to these two hearts,

Two angels who've been rescued from the fall.

After all that we've been through,

It all comes down to me and you,

I guess it's meant to be

Forever you and me, after all."

4. "I Finally Found Someone" by Bryan Adams and Barbara Streisand

This is such a sweet song by Bryan Adams and Barbara Streisand. The lyrics are great for a couple that took a while finding the right person, and also a couple that started out as friends and then gradually let each other into your hearts.

The opening lyrics are, "I finally found someone that knocks me off my feet / I finally found the one, That makes me feel complete." If that is the way you feel about each other, this is a really nice first dance song. Also, if you are thinking of using this song in your ceremony, don't forget that you can always change the lyrics around to fit your needs and your situation!

5. "Endless Love" by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross

Is this too obvious of a choice? I couldn't help it; this song just deserves to be on here. My personal favorite recording is the one with Lionel Richie and Diana Ross, but there is also a really nice one of Mariah Carey and Luther Vandross.

This is the kind of song that just builds and grows until, by the end, you have chills and possibly a tear in your eyes. "Two hearts that beat as one, Our lives have just begun." How can that not be the perfect wedding duet?

6. "All I Ask of You" From Phantom of the Opera

This song is a popular duet from Phantom of the Opera. This is a wonderful song to use during your ceremony if you have two really strong singers who can pull it off. There are, of course, some nice recordings of this song, but the real impact comes in when someone is right in front of you singing it. It makes me want to cry every time! "Say you love me every waking moment..." You are promising to love each other, and that's all you are asking for... Love.

7. "A Whole New World" From Aladdin

The last song was from a Broadway musical, and this one is from a Disney musical. Hopefully, this list has something for every taste! If you know Disney, then you "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. Not only is this a beautiful duet, but the meaning behind it is also perfect for a wedding. The two of you are entering into a whole new world together as husband and wife. This is definitely a song that everyone at your wedding will love and enjoy.

8. "Come What May" From Moulin Rouge

This song is one of the original songs written for the movie musical Moulin Rouge. To me, the words are perfect for a wedding and express what it feels like when you finally have found someone that opens your eyes to a new level of love that you didn't even know was possible. "Never knew I could feel like this, Like I've never seen the sky before, Want to vanish inside your kiss, every day I love you more and more."

With this song, you are also saying that no matter what happens, through good times and bad, for richer for poorer, you will love each other until your dying day. This song is a good choice for your contemporary ceremony as well as for a dance at the reception.

9. "One Hand, One Heart" From West Side Story

If you have never seen the musical West Side Story, this song, "One Hand, One Heart," is sung at a moment when the main couple, who are forbidden from loving each other, meet in secret and have a spontaneous moment where they dream of getting married. It is so beautiful and romantic. Since it is a song about a wedding ceremony, it is absolutely perfect for any part of your ceremony. It is such a touching song.

"Make of our hands one hand,

Make of our hearts one heart,

Make of our vows one last vow:

Only death will part us now."

10. "When I Said I Do" by Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black

Clint Black and his wife, Lisa Hartman Black wrote this song about their love for each other. It is one of the most romantic songs I have ever heard!

"When I said I do, I meant that I will, 'til the end of all time

Be faithful and true, devoted to you

That's what I had in mind when I said I do."

If you want to use this song for your ceremony, you could even change the lyrics to say, when I SAY I do, I MEAN that I will, to mark that you are just now saying it. It is also so sweet as a first dance together, just showing what the commitment you just made really means to the two of you.
