Wait. Did this list just downplayed BTS' success? I mean that 2.2 million sales is just probably this year alone (they already have 1.5m on love yourself tear released may 18). What about BBMAs? And Billboard charts! Everything that BTS has succeeded in! This list was so like 2016.

Thank you bts for breaking the close minded barrier between Korean and the rest of the world apparently even thought you're called the biggest kpop group on the planet because no other group has reached your international success everyone loves to look down on you because they forget korea is dime sized compared to the rest of the world that loves you

Seriously, SM and YG are still the best!

Queens of Kpop will always be GIRLS GENERATION or 2NE1.

Kings of Kpop will always be BIG BANG or SUPER JUNIOR even TVXQ.

Just look on how they left behind a legacy. THEY ARE THE TRUE LEGENDS OF KPOP.

Kpop nowadays wont happen without these groups! Oh well im a SNSD fan and a newly BIG BANG fan. ❤ Myyy these two are blessings from heaven! Sorry but I cant love any group other than them. I love SNSD since I was young so they will always be my Queens and now I see how worthy the Big Bang to be the King! Thank You. ^^

People in the comments are saying 'OMG WHY ISN'T BTS #1' but you came to an article about the most successful groups EVER, not right now. BTS is immensely popular right now but, in their times, other groups had much larger successes. Just look at how TVXQ had sales of 15 million in their debut year! That's crazy!

Respect to all kpop groups, and much love to my favourites BIG BANG and TVXQ!

So many people in the comments section denying reality just 'cause they clearly came to k-pop like months ago and got dazzled by BTS's recent success. Let's be real here: k-pop isn't about the last two years, k-pop has a history of decades, and there's more to k-pop than just BTS and their Billboard, period. You should be proud of them for being in a list among names like H.O.T, G.O.D, Big Bang, Super Junior and even EXO, which you must respect since they are very successful sunbaes to your favs.

BTS is gaining a name in k-pop history but you should realise by now that they still have a way to go because it's not only about coming to some western shows, appearing in some western news or twitter and suddenly you are the #1 artist. Things just don't work out that way.

SUPER JUNIOR are the Legends of kpop and the leaders of Hallyu wave. They are the ones who made kpop popular worldwide and paved the way for all the other groups. Super Junior are the ones who opened the doors for them all. ELF is also the first kpop fandom to exist in almost every country in the world. ALL HAIL SUPER JUNIOR!

i'm an elf but i think bts should be in the top 5 or at least top 10. They really successful right now. Suju are the one who introduce kpop to the world but bts also spread them more widely. They win billboard and made a debut stage in ama. i think they deserves to be in the top 5. Many people got into kpop because of bts (like most of my friends). I d0nt want to start a fanwar whis is just my opinion.

Funny how BTS was 14th and then you see the votes. Anyways... We should give BlackPink some more popularity they deserve like their MVs are spectacular, the clothes, the dancing. TBH the list can keep going on an on. Plus they debuted in 2016 so they are pretty new. And I'm not even going to go into BTS in the USA, like what?? SO proud!

14 & 15 makes list very beautiful. BTS and INFINITE

I don't know why but I can notice so many similarities between 2 groups.

Dance ability,Both are from small companies, Both groups are ACE of their companies. Visual members with letter names, Both Sunggyu and Rapmon are Genius leaders, Top dancer couples HOYA, Dongwoo and J-HOPE,Jimin. And even they have many of similar song titles in non titled traks as well as INFINITE 2015 release DNA Japanese MV and BTS 2017 realese DNA MV,

Also Jungkook passed the Wooliment audition once. And many more. +

SM entertainment cute off INFINITE's freedom while their career peak. They own wooliment label at that time. Also rumoured SM behind the MAMA voting unfair thing to BTS.

i think we should stop these fanwars right now and i think many people are agreeing too....i appreciate the fact tht kpop is growing alot nowadays and fans are trying to bring their group to the top (especially ARMYs and EXO-Ls)...every band has a different style and a unique personality becuz of which they are gaining fans but that means that u should mind ur own business and just stick to ur own fav band and not interfering into others love or hate for a band..im not saying that u shouldnt defend ur favourite band..just dont type stupid stuff that may make the situation worse...now talking about this list of rankings..im just making this clear it says BEST SELLING and NOT best group....BTS and EXO are both really popular right now and i myself am an army(but i love exo as well) everyone might have their own opinions !!;)

P.S- ALL THE BANDS ARE AMAZING!!

        PEACE!!!
