For sure 3.2 million album sales for MOTS Persona being the best selling album in Korea since 1995 and this being a digital streaming era is pretty impressive (14 million albums sold in total) gotta at least put them top 5 or 3 and being worth 3 billion to South Korea economy and at this rate, researchers estimate the septet will generate an economic value of $37 billion over the next decade. That’s huge for sure and yeah they’re 3x billboard 200 top charting albums in less then 11 months was only done in the past by the Beatles like the Beatles!!!! I’ll say top 3 at least but that’s just my opinion lol

Lol doesnt mean that ur faves has more votes that theyre on top, this list is liget so dont cause fanwar. I think those in the list, got their account on how much they make from their debuts not how much they make, i think this lists was made in 2017. For example, the #2 EXO, could be #1 now, since, theyre still active and popular, their album still sells million to includes Asian htour concerts, not to mention their individually income as actors, models, advertisements and royalties!

To toxic fans here: If u mention and put down another artist when you're praising your fave, you're only showing how obsessed u are with both. You're keeping track of that artist u supposedly dislike then compare them with who u state u only support.

Yes, BTS had achieved lots in U.S but it doesn't mean that they should be on top. Yall dragging your fave to other group whereas the list is just pure facts. And yall have the audacity to compare the company that they're in? OMG your argument is invalid.
RandomKpopStan on March 01, 2019:
Okay so i have MANY things to do here...
1st of all, this list was made in 2016. This means that the rankings were ofc very different than right now. I was going ofc really angry with the listing since I come from 2019
XXX on February 23, 2019:
I detected many immature ARMYS here. Please stop compared BTS to other KPOP group. Other kpop group are doing so well also and not only BTS.I'm ARMY and i'm still think that other kpop group is the best also. Come on ARMY dont make a stupid fanwar. Dont compare BTS to other kpop group. BTS had their own achievement and other group had own achievement. If so ask why BTS in the last rank, you should ask yourself why you didnt buy their album. Besides, this article is a fact and its true that other kpop like H.O.T, EXO,g.o.d and others are leading. So please dont be sooooo stupid and be a smart ARMY. Dont shame our fandom please dont shame our fandom. And this is not be specific to ARMY only but to all the fandoms. I being annoyed to the toxic fans who being compared their fav kpop group to the others. So, good luck to all kpop group.

where’s SHINEE? and, this is funny. I don’t agree. NOT to be biased, but surprisingly H.O.T was famous from many many years ago. So don’t compare OLD legends to NEW ones.

I hope this list isn't in order
Plus don't say mean things to BTS
I don't think they wanted to be compared like that
They try their best all the time and get these harsh words? They deserve more than that guys
And ARMYs don't care about what ppl say care about what you love and cherish it
jobillones on December 19, 2018:
BTS is the last in ranking because when they debuted in 2013 they are nobodies from unknown and small company. Unlike the the other groups that came from big 3 companies. See the difference? The stories of BTS is not secret to the world of kpop. How the group and their company struggled when they started. They work so hard and never gave up. That's why they're so loved by Armys.
Sabre on December 18, 2018:
This whole article is amazing....... I've been fallen for kpop for a very long time and never knew about the old legendary groups!!!! I'm so happy everyone is done their best!!!!
Moreover, when i read others views many people belonging to different fandoms are trying to suppress others....well you know what its not gonna help, you should really stop spread hate...the world needs more love!!!
Jungkookie on December 17, 2018:
Why is everyone saying that BTS fans are over rated and we worry to much? Almost everyone that is a fan of any K-pop group is worried if another lerson is going to join, if there getting less-famous, if something bad happend i mean like stop saying that Army is the only one worried about there Fav K-pop group everyone gets worried!
Kkkkkkk on December 13, 2018:
Not even kidding....EXO owns the universe LOL
Prescillabt on December 11, 2018:
Bts fans are really so blind and delusional, even they read above that bts isnt in the #1 place in any of the title that it mention above, they still keep thinking bts is #1 lol. First of all bts dont have talents. Yes they can sing and dance and some of them are visuals. Right now, this year of 2018, they get populR, but doesnt mean they're successful. If EXO got come 2018 earlier this year, probably BTS dont got a chance to be known or be popular. But its ok, EXO isnt that greedy to share success to bts. When Hanteo apologize for manipulating EXO's account sales, i cant help to think that those account sales goes to bts. Why? When Hanteo mention that their ex worker does that, could it be possible that person is an army? When i read one of the article that says there's an army that work in American Billboard, then i cant help to think that "nonwondef why BTS won the award 2 times. Plus those billboard chart that makes him in #1. If these list above are true, then BTS isnt that big to be popular and bts actualy no match to EXO. Seeing or reading these list prove that bts didnt beat EXO. Only this year of 2018 that EXO didnt have record of sales since their come back just got in November, almost end of the year....but EXO still make concerts all over Asia....when they dont have come back, they focus on concerts, and other things. Remember, concerts makes more money than selling album, but when they come back boom, their album becomes selling oike hot cakes again. Let seenin 2019 if bts can make it again. But i doubt it, since EXO already come back with the repackage. And we know that when EXO come back, they can get back from bts the crown of being #1....good luck EXO!

BTS is one of this generation's love, they have a huge fandom and all, they are also being recognized outside their country and that is great, awesome indeed! However, the fact that they debuted in the Era where K-POP is known everywhere differs from that of the once who debuted in the 90's where people are not so aware of K-POP yet and everyone is not into social media. Groups who became really popular and made K-pop known worldwide making them prominent images of Hallyu- Korean wave. Please have a little decency and not look down on the other groups just because your idols are not on top.
Super Junior, BigBang, SNSD, 2NE1, Shinee, T-ara, Kara, etc.are awesome groups. Salute!
Gods on October 31, 2018:
DB5K is the best group to have come out of KPOP. Even now, there's still no group out there who comes close to how talented they were - every single member had a high level of dancing and singing. Not to mention their album sales and tour attendance are unrivalled still. Legends!

There's more to kpop than BTS on October 09, 2018:
BTS is NOT the only boy band on American TV! Got7 has appeared on Ellen and several other American platforms. Big bang has had their music featured in an episode of Glee. I bet if you looked it up, you could SHINee and EXO TV appearances easily. BTS is the one of the most currently famous because it won a Billboard. That's only thing they have achieved that no one other kpop has done yet.
Junebug on October 08, 2018:
Army, fam, learn to read. The ranking was based on their debut sales and we know our Bts boys are basically underdogs, hated even when they started so don't expect them to top the list, the haters are salivating at every opportunity to point their fingers and make fun of us.
