Is There a Family History of Musicians?
Not really, I am the first one. My grandma played the organ.
Do You Have a Pre-Performance Ritual?
I focus and drink two Coors Light beers - then I go rock the stage.
How Did You Get Started in the Music Business?
I began by playing at the back porch of the Dixie Chicken in College Station, Texas.
Is There a Musician That Inspired You?
Absolutely! Bruce Springsteen and Robert Earl Keen.
Who Inspired Your Love of Music?
My mother. She would listen to Rock 101 in Houston when she was getting ready for work.
Would You Prefer a Record Deal or to be Independant?
I think Independent because it's the most fun and offers me lots of challenges.
Advice For an Aspiring Artist?
Never quit. Work hard every day at getting better and improving your talent.
Your Thoughts on the Evolution of Country Music?
Everything changes for the better or worse.
Have You Had Vocal Training?
Not really. I learned to sing listening to Jason Boland live at Billy Bob's.
Which Instruments Do You Play?
The guitar, mandolin and drums.
Do You Write Your Own Songs?
Yes, about 95% of them.

Yes. Josh Abbott, Kyle Park, Scooter Brown Band and Pear Ratz.

About 10 years. It's been a long and hard journey, but well worth it.

Getting to open Robert Earl Keen's Christmas show in my hometown of Houston, Texas.
