Rich O'Toole was born and bred in Houston, Texas and now calls the Hill Country north of San Antonio, Texas his home.

Tacos, Chinese Food, Red Wine and Cheesecake.
Sidenote: I follow Rich on Instagram and his food photos are not only entertaining, but they also make me hungry and possibly gain weight just from looking. He should receive endorsements from the establishments he promotes!
Is There a Family History of Musicians?
Not really, I am the first one. My grandma played the organ.
Do You Have a Pre-Performance Ritual?
I focus and drink two Coors Light beers - then I go rock the stage.
How Did You Get Started in the Music Business?
I began by playing at the back porch of the Dixie Chicken in College Station, Texas.
Is There a Musician That Inspired You?
Absolutely! Bruce Springsteen and Robert Earl Keen.
Who Inspired Your Love of Music?
My mother. She would listen to Rock 101 in Houston when she was getting ready for work.
Would You Prefer a Record Deal or to be Independant?
I think Independent because it's the most fun and offers me lots of challenges.
Advice For an Aspiring Artist?
Never quit. Work hard every day at getting better and improving your talent.
Your Thoughts on the Evolution of Country Music?
Everything changes for the better or worse.

About 10 years. It's been a long and hard journey, but well worth it.

Getting to open Robert Earl Keen's Christmas show in my hometown of Houston, Texas.

Sidenote: It was via this song that I was introduced to Rich O'Toole's music. The first time I heard the song on Nashville iHeart Radio I instantly researched the musician and began to follow him on social media. My thoughts were, anyone who was creative enough to write a song about marijuana and jalapenos must be a badass artist! I was correct.
