Top 5 Reasons Jacob Sartorius Is the Next Justin Bieber
Who Is Jacob Sartorius?
Jacob Sartorius is a young 14 year old social media and Musical.ly prodigy that might be the next Justin Bieber.
Like Bieber, this young star has captivated America with his skilled lip-syncing abilities, artistry, and poise. He is one of the most famous youths today and he's only going to get more famous over time.
But is he really the next Justin?
We'll soon find out with the top 5 reasons Jacob Sartorius is the next Justin Bieber.
5. Musical.ly Famous
Jacob was first discovered through his lip-syncing compilations on the popular app Musical.ly where many of our young stars get discovered today.
However unlike other youths, his videos garnered an unbelievable amount of attention as the app skyrocketed towards popularity.
In fact Musical.ly was so popular that it was bordering on Vine status, and the subsequent fame many kids received from the app was akin to Viners like Jake Paul.
His videos were particularly popular with young girls and teens as his lip-syncing content often featured suggestive undertones, which eventually led to some controversy due to his age.
But despite a few lewd moments, it was his creativity and outgoing display that made him stand out among fellow creators and propelled him towards stardom.
His rise on the app was very similar to how Justin Bieber became famous on the then fledgling video sharing site called YouTube.
4. Debut Single "Sweatshirt"
After a stint with Vine and mass popularity on Musical.ly (14+ million followers), Jacob's fame continued to soar when he released his debut single "Sweatshirt".
The song quickly spread throughout social media and YouTube, which allowed him to rocket up the Billboard charts to as high as 90.
His song garnered millions of views in a few weeks, and his performance of "Sweatshirt" on the internet-famous tour Magcon had people calling him the next Justin Bieber.
He was very close to the age Justin was when "Baby" became a worldwide hit where the internet world couldn't stop buzzing about him.
The theme of his song was also very similar to Bieber because it revolved around young love and trying to get the attention of his crush. In the music video, Jacob's objective was to get close to his crush by offering her his sweatshirt.
The video was viewed by many as a cute piece of preteen fluff that a lot of children would enjoy.
And just like "Baby", his song received a lot of negative criticism too. For all the praise he received, a lot of people across YouTube and other medias harshly criticized his voice, the context of the video, and his lack of musical talent.
But despite those criticisms, it allowed Jacob to reach super fame with a vast array of award nominations in 2016 and 2017 on the Teen Choice Awards.
3. The Magcon Tour
His frequent performances on the Magcon tour helped him reach a very young audience whom only helped escalate his fame further.
Magcon's collection of teen and preteen male stars assisted several talented budding stars to reach scorching levels of internet fame.
In fact one of the most talented new artists today, Shawn Mendes, was frequently part of the tour and has since broken into the mainstream with singles like "Stitches" and "Treat You Better".
The tour allowed these new stars to closely interact with their fans and bring about that bond older generations couldn't quite grasp. A lot of what made Jacob and Justin famous was strong fan appreciation, which couldn't be done before venues like Magcon or social media.
But there's a lot more to Jacob than Magcon.
2. Social Media Star
When Justin Bieber started out, social media was still in its infancy with platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram barely breaking into the mainstream.
If it weren't for the involvement of hip-hop star Usher, then it's very likely that Bieber would not be able to reach the level of fame he has today.
Luckily for Jacob, he was able to take advantage of all that social media has to offer, and he's been able to reach peak levels much faster than Justin ever could at his age.
Unlike other music artists before him, Jacob is a true internet personality with him frequently "tweeting" to fans and posting videos/photos on Instagram and Snapchat.
It's those tools that have allowed him to flourish and even took his next single, "Hit or Miss" to #72 on the Billboard charts.
At the age of 14 he has already released two albums and is only getting more and more recognition.
1. Worldwide Fame
His songs and videos have received hundreds of millions of total views, and they're only getting higher.
The songs "Skateboard" and "Bingo" already have millions of views off his album Left Me Hangin and his first EP "The Last Text" had him touring across the world in early 2017.
His career is only getting better and in less than three years he went from a small Viner to a world touring megastar. At this point in Justin's career, he was still a rising pop artist that nobody respected.
Jacob already has the respect and admiration of millions of fans that no other teen sensation has ever received. He doesn't even need YouTube to succeed like Justin did, but that doesn't stop him from uploading his songs and music videos for his fans to enjoy.
He already has millions of YouTube subscribers, views, and has toured in over seven countries with his first major crusade.
If you can't see that he's the next Justin Bieber, then you're blind. The world has just opened up for young Jacob and many can't wait to see where he'll go next.
