"Don't hate the media, become the media."
"Submitted for your approval: Wesman Shaw, a quivering would-be giant of a man, redeemed momentarily in a fiber optic world of bytes and bits, soaring heads above his tormentors until he plunges like the mythical Greek son into the bowels and stench of...The Twilight Zone"
If I ever once wrote something you think was good, then please understand I wrote at least one hundred pages which were so awful I'm now ashamed of them. I don't think I'm good. I think I am sometimes decent at writing. I read things I published 5 years ago and I cringe, then I cringe more, and then I remember why I don't read things I published years ago.
The world is huge. Life is confusing. The people who are attempting to control information are all out in their dedication to lie to you about every single last thing.
We live in a world now where mass media is an absolute disgrace. I try, in my very small way, to be as unlike those persons as I possibly can be. I want to be the opposite, in as many ways as possible, as that evil entity controlling international mass media. When you identify the most corrupt persons in the world, it can only be good to try to be as unlike them as possible.
Call me a radical if you wish, I'm not trying to be an Antisemite, but I do not believe Mossad should be allowed to run child prostitution and blackmail opperations, for the purposes of compromising politicians, in the United States of America, or anywhere else in the world. I'm just kind of funny like that. Yeah, Epstein didnt' kill himself. See if you can sell that garbage to someone with a much lower IQ.
Yes, I do love guitars, guitarists, and guitar music as much as I seem to. I'm equally fond of lots of other music as well, but because I can play the guitar a little bit, and was raised around lots and lots of the things, I feel qualified to do what I do here, and elsewhere. I hang out at guitar stores and pawn shops. Sometimes folks at Guitar Center think I work there, or maybe they just think I'm lonely and need attention. Same difference.
I dislike planned obsolescence. I'm into products that last, and most especially, musical instruments.
I'm always thinking about buying another guitar. I try to produce writing about guitars I'd like to personally own, and of course, sometimes I have owned that guitar. I've played thousands of the things.
When I was a child I spent most every Saturday with one of my grandfathers. Every single time I'd see him it seemed he had new guitars, fiddles, mandolins, banjos, bass guitars, amplifiers, and so forth and so on. He seemingly knew everything there was to know about every instrument. He could rattle off stories about the manufacturerers, their histories, the parts, the woods, everything.
I've no clue how my grandfather knew so much many years before there was an internet, but he did have magazine subscriptions for the subjects. I'm trying to put together something like an encyclopedia here online, but it will never ever be complete, nor could it be. It's not in any particular order at all either.
I'm trying to provide the single most informative page on the web for the exact topics I write about. Guitars, guitar players, and guitar based music are things I grew up immersed with, and love very much. If you love those things too, then possibly you would enjoy my content. If not, hey, this is what I'm going to mostly be doing, and that's all there is to it. I've one very stiff bit of competition around here. He's well worth reading too.
The natural world has always been of terrific interest to me, and exactly what sort of person doesn't find the flora and fauna interesting?
I love baseball probably more than you do, and I spend a huge amount of time reading about it and watching it, and I always have. Baseball is the finest of sports, the most skilled of team sports, and shows the most true character of the United States of America. So I write about Major League Baseball some.
I'm typically amazed at what proves to be successful writing, and what does not. I do not do keyword research. I'm too much of a dreamer and not enough of a realist. I only ever really hope that whatever page it is you land on is useful or at least entertaining.
I was fortunate to arrive at Hubpages.com somewhat early. I had no clue at all what I was doing, and so I had to learn ten thousand little things, and I don't know the half of any of it still. At this point I could probably just rewrite things I'd already done, and bring them up to my current much higher standards. I really do more enjoy creating a brand new webpage though.
If you really wish to speak with me one on one, then the thing to do is to message me from the option to do so at the top of every article.
So this is a content creation website, and you wish for my advice. I have some for you. This is the finest network of websites for independent writers. Everywhere else you must have some blue checkmark or something, an elitist. With this network, you can simply write.
Take your time. Spend an entire week thinking about what you are saying, and how you are presenting it. That's my advice. I used to not take this advice of mine, and I was forever disappointed. At present, I follow what I'm saying here, and I am not at all disappointed.
It matters less what it is you would wish to write about. It matters more that you get in no hurry to hit 'publish' on a thing. I think that sometimes people in these forums here are saying things because they want to discourage others from working here, and creating content. I swear some folks giving advice are more trying to make themselves look wonderful, than actually help others. Be careful who you listen to here. Pay attention to what the staff is NOT saying as much as to what they are saying. If someone isn't on staff at Hubpages, you need to take their advice with a LOT of salt.
More about the forums. The only forums here worth paying attention to are the ones about the business of writing on the web. The only way I can have the success I want from the Hubpages network of websites is for me to come here with a business or work mindset. If you come here to engage in the political forums, you'll never see even one penny earned from that. It's a waste of your time, and the people in those forums are wasting their time. They'll happily induce you to waste your time too, but only if you let them, and only if you're foolish enough to engage there. Don't do it.
